Photo-painting. Printed pigmented Photograph mounted Diasec
My creative process starts with capturing moments with my digital camera and picking details and angles that inspire me. I then deconstruct the digital image using photo-editing software. The mouse becomes my brush that reshapes the figurative patterns, creates different perspectives and builds new worlds. Each step of the de-construction and re-construction processes takes the image further and further away from the original photograph, with which the final work has no relationship anymore. This work is a unique matrix without editions. It has two titles: – The first refers to the subject of the original photograph – The second one refers to the present work.
