This abstract painting titled Extracting Darkness depicts the image of a couple and the separation from a dark figure. That darkness can be a human being ready to destroy your home, or it can be hate, anger and jealously.
However, for me this image was inspired by the Islamic belief in dark spirits. When I painted it I was living in Morocco, where the belief in jinns who can destroy your life is widespread. To extracting darkness, whatever form it comes in.
