This a high-magnification photograph of the Orchid'Phalaenopsis', taken in natural light, without manipulation. It is presented as a Framed Single-Edition Giclée Print.

From among the many arbitrary abstract images I see at high magnification I select only those that have instant appeal. This is not a rational process. I then have to consider what made the image attractive.

In this case my instantaneous thought was that the image represented'Triumph over Adversity'- rising above the turmoil to achieve something worthwhile.
