Cette toile devait être à l origine un autoportrait que j ai finalement transformé en pensant à une amie. (Et à qui j ai offert ce tableau). C est à la fois un tableau lumineux avec comme point central ce papillon bleu qui vie sa 2nd vie et en bas à droite, dans l ombre, cette chenille qui ne sera plu bientôt en tant que tel mais renaîtra comme ce flamboyant papillon. L ombre et la lumière m inspiré toujours autant durant mais longues nuits d'insomnies… Oil paint, with a knife. This painting was originally to be a self-portrait that I finally transformed by thinking of a friend. (And to whom I offered this painting). It is both a luminous picture with as its central point this blue butterfly that lives its 2nd life and in the lower right, in the shade, this caterpillar that will not soon be rained as such but will be reborn as this flamboyant butterfly. L shadow and light always inspired me as much during but long nights of insomnia…
