This gorgeous pendant was made with a stunning Aurora opal doublet, set in solid Sterling silver wire with three sparkling Herkimer diamonds, set in stacked Sterling silver bead caps. Aurora opals are a new variety of laboratory-grown opal. The entire silver surface was oxidized naturally with egg yolk, then hand-polished to an aged finish. The pendant comes suspended on your choice of chain and measures 35x28x17mm (1.4» X 1.1» X 0.7»). This is a one-of-a-kind item and there won't ever be another like it.

Herkimer diamonds are double-terminated (pointy at both ends) quartz crystal found in exposed outcrops of dolostone in and around Herkimer County, New York and the Mohawk River Valley. While such double-terminated crystals may also be found in other parts of the world, crystals originating in New York are known for their extreme clarity.
